WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF WATER BASED PAINTS?

A general paint consists of 4 main components. These are polymer, pigment, fillers and carrier phase. The carrier phase can be water, solvent etc. depending on the type of paint. Water-based paints are preferred not only in the interior but also in exterior applications. Due to its wide range of color options, color fading, UV and climate resistance, water-based exterior paints are the most popular type of paint for masters.

WHAT IS THE STEPS FOR IN A BASIC COATING PROCESS?

In a paint and white wash process, the surface must be made ready for paint application. The application surface should be reviewed, if any gaps and cracks have, they should be repaired. For this, Baumerk Paste/Putty products should be used. Gaps and cracks on the surface should be filled with the application of putty. After the putty dries, the surface is smoothed with sandpaper and the dust is cleaned. After this process, the surface should be primed with a suitable primer. The priming process reduces the absorbency of the surface and reduces the amount of top coat coating to be used, while providing a strong adhesion. If needed, thinning process and over-coat applications should be done according to the technical documents included in the product content. After the primer application is completed, top coat paint application is passed. All application steps must be done according to the technical documents in the product content, consumption per square meter should be calculated, thinning and recoat times should be done according to technical data sheets.
